Schedule of Court Referred Classes

 

Contact the Safety Council at 816-233-3330 to register for SATOP Assessment or Programs. To register for other Court Referred Classes, go to HOME page and click on "Enroll in Court Referred Classes".

 

SATOP Assessment

All consumers needing an initial SATOP Assessment must contact the St. Joseph Safety and Health Council for an appointment.  Walk-ins are not accepted.  All assessment appointments are conducted at the St. Joseph Safety and Health Council, 3131 Frederick Ave., Suite 220, St. Joseph.  The cost of the assessment is $375, payable to the St. Joseph Safety and Health Council by certified check, money order or credit/debit card.  Payment in full for services are due the day of the scheduled appointment. 

 

SATOP Offender Education Program

The SATOP Offender Education Program is offered once each month, Friday evenings 5:00 - 9 p.m. and continued on Saturdays 8 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.  Classes are held at the Council's new location at 3131 Frederick Avenue, Suite 220. The cost of the class is $130, payable to the St. Joseph Safety and Health Council by certified check, money order or credit/debit card and MUST BE PREPAID before the class.

SATOP Weekend Intervention Program

The SATOP Weekend Intervention Program is offered each month.  Time schedule is: Friday - 4:00 - 9:30 p.m., Saturday - 8:30 a.m. - 9:30 - p.m. and Sunday - 8:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.  Participants are required to attend all three days in order to complete the program.  The program is held at the Council's new location at 3131 Frederick Ave, Suite 220 (Habitat for Humanity building).  The cost of the class is determined on a sliding scale based on income, with a $250 minimum cost for the consumer.  Class fees are due by the Thursday prior to the weekend class, payable to the St. Joseph Safety and Health Council  To determine the cost of the program, please call (816) 233-3330.

Driver Improvement Program/Defensive Driving Course

Individuals wanting to take the Driver Improvement Program/Defensive Driving Course must call at least one week prior to the class to enroll.  The cost of the class is $75, payable to the St.  Joseph Safety and Health Council by certified check, money order or credit/debit card.   Fee must be paid prior to scheduled date and a $10 reschedule fee will be charged to change class date. Alive at 25

Alive at 25 classes are provided every other month on the following dates, 6 p.m. - 10 p.m.  Classes are held at 3131 Frederick Ave., Suite 220, St. Joseph.  The cost of the class is $50, payable to the St. Joseph Safety and Health Council by certified check, money order or credit/debit card. Fee must be paid prior to scheduled date and a $10 reschedule fee will be charged to change class date.

Adult Stealing

Juvenile Stealing

Juvenile Stealing classes are provided every other month on a Saturday from 8 a.m. - 12 p.m.  All classes are held at the St. Joseph Safety and Health Council office, located at 3131 Frederick Ave., Suite 220, in St. Joseph, unless otherwise noted.  The cost of the class is $50, payable to the St. Joseph Safety and Health Council by certified check, money order or credit/debit card unless the referral is from the Buchanan County Juvenile Office.
